Along with Joomla, WordPress is one of the most popular free website applications. From a simple blogging piece of software, in the last few years it has turned into a powerful content management system and a site building tool. With WordPress, you can create and manage almost any kind of site, from a simple informational site to a large online store, by using a vast number of available themes and plugins..
Recognizing WordPress as a useful piece of software for our customers, we do realize that offering WordPress-related tools might help our customers quite much. For this reason, our hosting Control Panel has had a WordPress installation utility for several years now, and there are additional tools available, such as WP-CLI.
To make the WordPress-related operations of our customers even easier, our Software Team has now added a new section in the Control Panel - WordPress. This section allows you to install, manage, copy, move, archive, optimize, and perform other operations for WordPress installations on your account.
The section is available to all our customers, on all hosting plans. We hope that it will add even more quality to the services we offer.
Dear Customers,
We want to let you know that we will be performing a major hardware upgrade of our hosting platform, affecting your service.
The servers are being migrated to our new hardware platform, featuring the latest Xeon Gold processors, enterprise-grade RAID SSD storage arrays, and optimized 10 Gigabit Ethernet internal network connections.
The new hardware is situated in a brand-new datacenter facility situated next to our existing facilities in Boston, MA. This new facility features upgraded network connections, advanced DDoS protection services, improved data security and surveillance.
We have already performed a preliminary data migration to the new hardware, but we need some time for a final data synchronization and configuration.
We chose a time slot with minimal impact according to the traffic statistics of these servers.
The expected service outage is about 30-60 minutes within the maintenance window.
The maintenance will occur as follows:
Start time: Apr 23, 2019, 03:00 EDT
End time: Apr 23, 2019, 06:00 EDT
The following servers are included in this migration wave:
server321.com
server344.com
s405.sureserver.com
s419.sureserver.com
s422.sureserver.com
s423.sureserver.com
s434.sureserver.com
s440.sureserver.com
s443.sureserver.com
s445.sureserver.com
s456.sureserver.com
s457.sureserver.com
s458.sureserver.com
s501.sureserver.com
Important: The user space will be converted to a 64-bit environment. We have taken steps to minimize any potential incompatibilities due to this change, but we always recommend that you check your site after the upgrade to make sure that it is working properly.
Possible issues may arise with modules/extensions/binaries that are compiled for a 32-bit environment. For example, PHP extensions (.so files) located on your hosting space might be affected. If you have such extensions, we advise that you switch to an extension that is installed server-wide, or search for the appropriate files for a 64-bit environment, which you can use after the conversion.

We want to let you know that we are in the process of updating the PHP7 interpreter on our servers. PHP 7.1 will be replaced with PHP 7.2.
PHP 7.2 is the latest PHP branch. After extensive testing, we consider it ready to be used in our production environment.
The update to PHP 7.2 will occur on Thursday, March 22, 2018, for the following servers:
- server260.com - server283.com
If you have software that relies on PHP7, we advise you to make sure that it is compatible with PHP 7.2. You can check the PHP7 changelog here:
http://php.net/ChangeLog-7.php
The default PHP interpreter on the servers will continue to be PHP 5.6. However, we encourage our customers to try out PHP7, as it introduces a number of improvements over PHP 5.6, including optimized resource usage. PHP 7.2 is the recommended PHP version by the developers of WordPress.
You can manage the default PHP interpreter of your hosting account through the "PHP Settings" section of your hosting Control Panel, or we can change it for you.
Our system administrators will perform a MySQL upgrade on all servers at the CenturyLink datacenter (USA).
The expected downtime of the MySQL service should not exceed 20 seconds.
